Pork Steak with Apples in a Pan

by Editorial Staff

Pre-marinate the pork in honey sauce, then fry until golden brown. Then add the apples, cook them with the meat, and serve the apples along with the pork steak as the perfect side dish.

Cook: 1 hour

Servings: 2

Ingredients

  • Pork (steak) – 500 g
  • Sweet and sour green apples – 2 pcs.
  • Vegetable oil (corn or sunflower) – 40 ml
    For the marinade:
  • BBQ sauce (thick) – 30 g
  • Balsamic vinegar or lemon juice – 30 ml
  • Honey – 20 g
  • Garlic – 2 cloves
  • Salt to taste
  • Ground black pepper – to taste

Directions

  1. First of all, marinate meat. The richer, more flavorful the marinade mixture, the more appetizing the steak itself will be. Of course, stick to your own preferences in proportions, adjust the taste and pungency of the marinade. So, in a convenient container, mix honey, balsamic vinegar or lemon juice, barbecue sauce, and, if necessary, salt and ground pepper. Peel the garlic and squeeze through a press into a bowl of marinade.
  2. If the piece of meat is large, cut it into two portions. Alternatively, grill in one piece and cut into the finished steak. Using a brush, grease the pork steak with marinade on all sides. Under a film or lid, we send the meat to marinate in the refrigerator for half an hour or an hour.
  3. Peel and seed apples, cut into slices.
  4. Preheat a frying pan with vegetable oil. Fry pork steak over high heat for 3-5 minutes on each side, until golden brown. We shift the meat to the side, put the apples in the pan. Stew the apples in the released meat juice, stirring occasionally, for 5-7 minutes. For those who love stews, I advise you to pour a couple of tablespoons of boiling water into the pan, cover with a lid, reduce the heat and simmer the steak with apples for 20-25 minutes.
  5. Serve hot pork steak with apples, garnish with a sprig of herbs. Additional sauces, salads, and pickles are not needed for this dish.

Enjoy your meal!
