  • 500 g leek
  • 200 g cooked ham
  • 200 g cheese (Appenzeller)
  • 750 g potato (s), waxy
  • 200 ml sweet cream
  • 200 ml milk
  • 1 medium onion (s)
  • Salt and pepper, whiter
  • some parsley

Instructions

  1. Cut the leek into rings. Cover and sauté in a little boiling salted water for about 2 minutes, then drain.
  2. Cut 150 g cheese into slices. Cut the ham and cheese into 4 x 4 cm slices each. Dice the onion. Peel the potatoes and cut into thin slices or, even better, slice them.
  3. Grease a baking dish, sprinkle with onion. Layer the potatoes, leek, ham and cheese slices in a fan shape. Season the cream and milk with salt and pepper, pour over the casserole. Rub the rest of the cheese over it.
  4. Bake in the oven at 175 ° C for about 50 minutes and sprinkle with a little parsley.
  5. Tip: It gets even creamier and tastier if you only prepare the gratin with 400 ml of cream instead of milk and cream.
