Potatoes with Minced Meat and Cheese, in the Microwave

Potatoes with minced meat and cheese can be a real lifesaver for microwave owners when they need to quickly feed their families. Everything is done simply: put the minced meat between the layers of sliced potatoes, fill it with sour cream with fragrant adjika and garlic, send it to the microwave. And at the end of cooking, sprinkle with grated cheese.

Servings: 6

Ingredients

  • Potatoes – 600 g (4 large)
  • Minced meat (I have pork and beef) – 300 g
  • Sour cream – 75 g (3 tablespoons)
  • Hard cheese – 50 g
  • Garlic – 1 clove
  • Salt to taste
  • Ground black pepper – to taste
  • Adjika dry – 0.25 teaspoon
  • Vegetable oil (for lubricating the mold) – 15 ml (1 tablespoon)
  • Dill greens (for serving) – 2-3 branches

Directions

  1. Peel the potatoes, rinse and cut into thin slices. Lightly grease a dish for a microwave oven (I have a diameter of 24 cm) with vegetable oil and put half of the potatoes overlapping, in one layer.
  2. Lay the minced meat in an even layer on the potato layer. Season with a little salt and pepper. Overlap the remaining potatoes.
  3. Pour 100 ml of water into a bowl, salt, add sour cream, grated on a fine grater or passed through a press, garlic, and dry adjika. Mix everything well. Pour the contents of the form on top with the sour cream mixture.
  4. Place the potato and minced meat dish in the microwave and close the lid. I have a special microwave hood.
  5. Cook the casserole at 1000 watts for 20 minutes. The potatoes should be completely cooked. If it’s still harsh, add 5 minutes at full power.
  6. Grate the cheese on a medium grater. After the time has passed, remove the casserole from the microwave, remove the lid and sprinkle the grated cheese on the potatoes.
  7. Return the dish with potatoes and minced meat to the microwave without closing, and cook for another 5 minutes at a power of 1000 W.
  8. Remove the casserole dish from the microwave and sprinkle with chopped dill. Potatoes with minced meat and cheese are ready.
