Ingredients

  • 500g flour
  • 0.5 teaspoon ½ baking powder
  • 6 egg yolks
  • 150 grams sugar
  • 2 packs vanilla sugar
  • 1 pinch (s) salt
  • 400 g butter - flakes, cold
  • 250 g almond (s), peeled, rated
  • 150 g powdered suar
  • 1 packet vanilla sugar

Instructions

  1. Mix flour with baking powder and sieve on the clean table top. Make a well in the middle, put eggs, sugar and spices into it. Mix with a fork to a thick paste. Top it with the butter flakes and the almonds. Knead everything into a smooth dough, leave to rest in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
  2. Shape the cooled dough into finger-thick rolls, cut off 5 cm long pieces and turn them into croissants. Place on baking sheets lined with baking paper. Bake in a preheated oven at 175-180 degrees for 10 minutes each until light yellow. Mix powdered sugar with vanilla sugar, sieve on a plate. Turn the baked croissants or croissants in it while they are still hot (be careful, they break easily and are very crumbly). Store in tightly closing tin cans.
