Ingredients

  • 280 g flour, smooth
  • 210 g butter
  • 70 grams sugar
  • 100 g walnuts
  • powdered sugar
  • Vanilla sugar (bourbon)

Instructions

  1. Mix the flour, sugar and walnuts well. Cut the cold butter into the mixture in small pieces and quickly knead everything into a dough with your hands.
  2. Let rest in the refrigerator for 1 hour.
  3. Shape the dough into thin rolls and then shape them into small croissants. Place on the baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. Bake at 175 ° C top and bottom heat in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes.
  5. Caution: The croissants must not get too dark! It is better to take a look beforehand, whether the lower edge is already slightly light brown. Then you`re done.
  6. While still hot, toss in icing sugar mixed with bourbon vanilla sugar.
  7. Makes 1 1/2 trays.
