  • 500g flour
  • 250 ml milk
  • 75 g butter
  • 21 g yeast, fresh
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 75 grams sugar
  • 1 pinch (s) salt

Instructions

  1. Warm the milk, melt the butter, mix the yeast with a little milk until creamy.
  2. Mix the rest of the milk with the lukewarm butter, egg yolk and sugar. Season the flour with a good pinch of salt. Mix the milk mixture with the flour in a stirred kettle. Finally add the yeast mass.
  3. Beat the whole thing briefly and vigorously, let rise to three times the amount, beat again and let rise again to three times the amount.
  4. Now form braids and let rise to double the amount. Brush with egg and milk, decorate with poppy seeds, sliced almonds or granulated sugar. Bake for 15-20 min at 170 ° C fan oven or 180-185 ° C normal oven.
