Ingredients

  • some margarine
  • 1 tablespoon sugar, or syrup, e.g. maple syrup or sugar beet syrup
  • 4 m. Apples, sweet and sour apples, e.g. Braeburn or Elstar
  • 50 g cranberries or cherries, dried, with suar
  • 1 packet puff pastry, from the cooling shelf, approx. 30 cm in diameter

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven (circulating air: 180 ° C, top / bottom heat 200 ° C).
  2. Grease a tart pan (approx. 30 cm in diameter) with margarine and sprinkle with sugar or roughly spread the syrup with a spoon.
  3. Cut out the core of the apples with an apple cutter. If you like, you can also peel the apples. Cut the apples into approx. 1 cm thick slices and layer them in the tart pan. Spread the cranberries or cherries in between.
  4. Place the puff pastry sheet on top of the fruit in the tart pan and press lightly. Fold any protruding dough onto the dough sheet. Prick the dough several times with a fork.
  5. Put the tin on the wire rack in the lower third of the oven and bake for about 30 minutes.
  6. After baking, turn the tart out onto a cake plate and serve warm.
  7. The tart tastes particularly delicious with ice cream, vanilla sauce or cream.
  8. Instead of the cranberries or cherries, you can also use raisins and a little cinnamon. Then tastes similar to apple strudel.
