Ingredients

  • 500 g minced meat, mixed
  • 2 onions)
  • 1 carrot (s)
  • 2 stalks celery (or a quarter a tuber celery)
  • 2 tablespoon tomato paste (or 1 can peeled tomatoes)
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 0.25 liter ¼ water (correspondingly less for canned tomatoes)
  • a lot marjoram
  • Thyme and oregano as desired
  • 2 small Can (s) beans, white
  • salt and pepper
  • Tabasco

Instructions

  1. Wash onions and other vegetables, clean, cut into very small cubes and fry in olive oil, add minced meat for approx. 5 min and fry first over high heat, then over medium heat, approx. 10 min. Generously with marjoram (dried), season some thyme and oregano, season with salt and pepper. Add tomato paste and fry with it, add a little water if necessary. Or optionally add a can of peeled, diced tomatoes. Simmer for about 30 minutes over low heat. Then add the white beans with juice and season with Tabasco to taste. Simmer for another 5 minutes, season to taste.
  2. Mashed potatoes are best served with this.
  3. What is very nice about this dish is that you don`t have to be precise when it comes to the quantities, and the combination of the flavors of meat, tomato, marjoram, white beans and tabasco is really delicious. If you don`t want to cut any vegetables except onions, simply use broth to pour on, that works too. The longer you take your time when frying, possibly adding a spoonful of water, the better.
