Baked Carrots

According to this recipe, the carrots are baked in the oven with oil and spices, but despite the simplicity of preparation, the baked carrots taste amazing.

Ingredients

  • Small carrots with herbs (preferably young) – 1.3 kg
  • Olive oil – 1 tbsp
  • Salt – 3/4 teaspoon.
  • Ground black pepper – 1/4 teaspoon.

Directions

  1. Turn on the oven to preheat to 225 degrees. Cut off most of the greens from carrots, leaving only tails 2.5 centimeters long. Peel or scrape carrots.
  2.  Fold the carrots into a deep baking sheet or other baking dishes (40×30 centimeters). Drizzle over the carrots with olive oil, sprinkle with salt and black pepper, mix well.
  3.  Place the carrot dish in the preheated oven and bake for about 20 minutes, stirring once during this time. Then reduce the temperature to 180 degrees and bake, stirring, for about 15 minutes, until the carrots are golden brown.

Serve baked carrots as a side dish or as a separate vegetable dish.
