Biscuit with Cheese and Green Onions

New interesting taste of biscuit! Delicate, airy, and non-dry biscuit with cheese and green onions is an excellent base for snack cakes. Try to cook, you won’t regret it!

Ingredients

  • Green onions – 3 tbsp
  • Hard cheese – 3 tbsp
  • Flour – 80 g
  • Eggs – 4 pcs.
  • Vegetable oil – 35 g
  • Baking powder – 1.5 teaspoon
  • Corn starch – 1 tbsp
  • Sugar – 55 g
  • Salt – 1/2 teaspoon
  • Water – 80 ml

Directions

  1. The recipe is very simple. Let’s prepare all the products and start.
    We immediately divide the eggs into whites and yolks. Rub the cheese on a fine grater. Cut the green onion into rings.
    Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.
  2. We send the proteins with a pinch of salt into the mixer bowl and beat at low speed. As soon as foam appears, increase the speed and, whisking, gradually add sugar. Beat the whites until stiff peaks.
  3. Combine the yolks with water, vegetable oil, and salt. Mix well with a whisk.
  4. Add grated cheese to the yolks.
  5. Pour baking powder and cornstarch into the flour. We mix.
  6. Now pour dry ingredients into the cheese-yolk mixture. Mix well with a spatula.
  7. Add chopped green onions to the dough.
  8. Squirrels whipped into a lush “cloud”! Gradually combine the whites with the yolks. We try to mix with folding movements to keep the dough airy.
  9. We transfer the dough into a prepared baking dish, the bottom of which is covered with parchment. I took a bottomless mold (21 cm in diameter) and placed it on a baking sheet lined with parchment.
    (If you are not sure about the quality of your parchment, brush it with vegetable oil.)
  10. We bake a sponge cake with cheese and green onions in an oven preheated at 180 degrees. Time is 25-30 minutes. After baking, turn the biscuit together with the form onto the wire rack, let the biscuit cool well.
  11. A very delicate and airy biscuit turned out. Velvet! Next time I will add a little less sugar, and salt – 1 teaspoon. And it will be the perfect base for snack cakes!
