Ingredients

  • 20 Brussels sprouts florets
  • 10 walnuts
  • 30 g butter
  • Salt and pepper, freshly ground
  • some allspice, freshly ground
  • some nutmeg, freshly grated

Instructions

  1. Clean the Brussels sprouts, cut in half and steam in a steaming basket over boiling water for 6 minutes. We like it with a little bite, if you like it softer or have very large florets, hang on for 2 minutes. Quench immediately in cold water so that it does not cook and so that it retains its beautiful green color.
  2. Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat and lightly roast the roughly chopped walnuts in it for 30 seconds. Add the Brussels sprouts and roast briefly while turning, they must be very hot. Season with salt, pepper, allspice and nutmeg and serve immediately.
