Ingredients

  • 300 g minced beef
  • possibly salt and pepper
  • 3 slices ham, raw
  • 0.5 ½ small vegetable onion (s)
  • 1 tablespoon sauce (cocktail)
  • 1 tablespoon sauce (honey mustard)
  • 1 tablespoon mustard, medium hot
  • 3 tablespoon chili sauce
  • 1 sheet iceberg lettuce
  • 20 g chilli pepper (s) (jalapeno)
  • 1 roll (hamburger bun)
  • 3 slices processed cheese (Chester)

Instructions

  1. First shape the meat into a flat, round flatbread. The flatbread can be slightly larger than the hamburger bun and measure around 1.5-2 cm in height. If you like, the meat can be seasoned with a little pepper and salt beforehand.
  2. Now brush the raw meat with 1 tablespoon of chili sauce. The sauce is allowed to soak into the meat for a while. Then put the meat with a little oil and the coated side down, in the preheated (about 2/3 heat) pan and immediately coat the other side with 1 tablespoon of chili sauce. This gives the meat a very nice note and the brew that is formed is also absorbed by the other ingredients, which we are about to add. Always cover the pan with a lid.
  3. During the cooking time, cut the onion into thirds, prepare the iceberg lettuce leaf, halve the roll and roast it. I just put it in the toaster. You can also roast the bread in the oven, in the microwave (with grill function), on a table grill or on the bare stove.
  4. Now and then turn the meat in the pan. About halfway through the cooking time (about ten minutes depending on the thickness), mix the onions with the jalapenos, add and sweat. From time to time to turn. Shortly before the end of the cooking time, fry the raw ham (remove the fat rim) briefly. It shouldn`t get crispy, so just under 2 minutes on one side is enough.
  5. Now put it together in the following order (as you wish): Spread 1 tablespoon of cocktail sauce on the underside of the roll with the spoon. Cover this with 1 iceberg lettuce leaf, 1 tablespoon honey-mustard sauce, the three slices of ham, 1 slice of Chester, 1 tablespoon of mustard, the onion-jalapeno mix, 1 slice of Chester, the meat, 1 tablespoon of chili sauce and finally the lid of the Bun.
  6. It is advisable to eat with a knife and fork to avoid a mess. French fries or wedges with sour cream can be served with it.
