Hot Dogs in a Baguette with Cheese and Omelet

A crispy brown baguette with delicious juicy sausages, melted cheese, and an omelet inside. A very hearty breakfast and a wonderful snack, which is very convenient to take with you. Such hot sandwiches with sausages are prepared quickly enough.
Servings: 4
Ingredients
- Baguette – 1-2 pcs. (depending on size)
- Sausages – 4 pcs.
- Hard cheese – 100-130 g (4 slices)
- Eggs – 2 pcs.
- Milk – 100 ml
- Salt to taste
- Ground black pepper – to taste
- Parsley for decoration (optional) – a couple of sprigs
Directions
- Cut off the edges of the baguette. Cut the baguette into 4 equal parts (about 4-5 cm longer than the sausage in size).
- Cut out a rectangular depression in each piece of baguette with a knife.
- We take out the cut pieces of the baguette along with the crumb.
- Cut the cheese into thin slices.
- We put the cheese in the grooves of the baguette so that its edges protrude outward.
- Put sausages on top of the cheese. We turn on the oven and heat it up to 180 degrees.
- Break the eggs into a bowl.
- Add milk, salt, and black pepper to the eggs.
- Mix with a whisk until smooth.
- Put the sandwiches in a baking dish. I only had two sandwiches in the mold, so I baked them in pairs in turn. Pour part of the omelet mixture into the cavities with sausages and cheese. Pour the remaining omelet mixture on top of the hot dogs to soak the baguette.
- We send hot dogs into the oven for 15 minutes, until the cheese melts and lightly browns.
