Lazy Buckwheat with Cottage Cheese, Apples and Cinnamon

If you don’t have enough time to prepare a full breakfast, try the option with “lazy” buckwheat! Soak the cereals in water in the evening – and in the morning you will have a ready-made porridge, which will only have to be supplemented with fried apples, cottage cheese, and cinnamon.

Ingredients

  • Buckwheat groats – 50 g
  • Apple – 1 pc.
  • Cottage cheese – 1 tbsp
  • Sugar – 2 teaspoon
  • Ground cinnamon – 1/4 teaspoon
  • Vegetable oil (for frying) – 1 tbsp

Directions

  1. Rinse the buckwheat well under running water. Then pour the washed cereal with about 180 ml of hot water (the ratio of buckwheat and water is about 1: 2). The liquid should cover the cereal by about 2 cm. Cover the bowl with a plate and leave it on the table or in the refrigerator for about 6-8 hours or overnight.
  2. In the morning, buckwheat will absorb water, become soft and crumbly. Only a little remains to be done, and a delicious and healthy breakfast will be ready!
  3. Peel the apple, remove the core, and cut into slices.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over high heat. Place the apple slices in the skillet.
  5. Sprinkle apples with sugar and cinnamon.
  6. Turning gently from time to time, cook apples over high heat until soft, about 3 minutes. Don’t let the apples turn into applesauce, they should only soften.
  7. Then add the swollen buckwheat.
  8. Stir and heat the buckwheat and apple for about a minute.
  9. Transfer the buckwheat and apple to a plate.
  10. Sprinkle the curd over the dish.
  11. Lazy buckwheat with apple and cottage cheese is ready.
