Ingredients

For the dough

  • Flour – 4 cups
  • Water (boiling water) – 1 glass
  • Refined vegetable oil – 1 glass
  • Salt – 1 pinch
  • Sugar – 1 tbsp

For filling

  • Apples – 1 kg
  • Sugar – 0.5 cups (to taste)
  • Raisins – 50 g
  • Cinnamon to taste

How to cook Odessa strudel

Directions

  1. Boil the kettle. Sift flour into a bowl. Make a depression in the flour, salt, add sugar, butter and boiling water. Stir with a spoon.
  2. Knead a soft dough with your hands. Cover with a towel and leave for 15-20 minutes.
  3. Meanwhile, wash the apples, cut into 4 pieces and core. Cut into small pieces.
  4. Turn on the oven.
    Divide the dough into 4 parts. Roll out the dough, adding flour, into a thin circle. Lubricate with vegetable oil.
  5. Arrange apples in one layer, add little raisins, sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon.
  6. Collapse the roll. So make 4 rolls.
  7. Grease the form with oil, put the rolls tightly into the form. Brush with butter, sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon to taste.
  8. Place the dish in the preheated oven on the middle shelf.
    Bake the Odessa strudel until tender at 200 degrees (40-50 minutes).
  9. Odessa strudel is ready.
  10. Cut the ready-made Odessa strudel into portions and serve.
