Ingredients

  • 4 slices meat loaf, approx. 1.5 to 2 mm thick
  • 4 slices Gouda or Emmentaler
  • 8 slices ham, to taste
  • 1 egg (s)
  • some Milk
  • Flour
  • Breadcrumbs
  • salt and pepper
  • Oil, for frying

Instructions

  1. Cover the Leberkäse with a slice of cheese and 2 slices of ham and roll up. First turn in flour, whisk milk with egg and spices, dip the rolls in them and bread them in breadcrumbs.
  2. Best to fry in a deep fryer until golden brown.
  3. Every side dish goes well with it. Steamed vegetables, potatoes, rice and of course a large bowl of salad to taste.
