Soft Carrot Cookies

Prepares in about half an hour – taking into account the time for kneading the dough, cutting and baking it. It costs a penny – the most expensive thing you need is half a pack of butter. Insanely tasty – especially while it’s warm, only from the oven.

Ingredients

  • 100 g butter;
  • 200 g sugar;
  • 400 g flour;
  • 250 g finely grated carrots;
  • 8 g baking powder – almost the whole bag;
  •  a pinch of salt, baking soda, cinnamon and nutmeg

Directions

  1. Take the oil out of the refrigerator in advance – so that it becomes soft.
  2. We rub the carrots – take a tasty and aromatic one, then the cookies will turn out the same. It is better to grate on a medium or fine grater – the consistency of the dough will be more uniform.
  3. When the oil is warm, mix it with sugar using a mixer – for about one minute.
  4. Add carrots, mix until smooth.
  5. Add all dry ingredients – flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon and nutmeg.
  6. Knead the dough – it should look like plasticine warmed up in your hands. Not stone, but slightly soft, pliable.
  7. Put the dough in a bag and put in the refrigerator for about five minutes. At this time, prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper, turn on the oven 180 degrees. And also lightly dust the table with flour – to make it easier to sculpt cookies.
  8. You can roll out the dough into a layer approximately 1 cm thick, then cut it into squares with a knife or use curly flakes for cookies. Or you can stick the round pieces with your hands, put them on a baking sheet and press them slightly on top.
  9. Put the baking sheet in a preheated oven for 10-15 minutes – the cookies are ready when they start to brown slightly.
  10. Ready-made biscuits can be eaten immediately – when warm, they are especially tasty.

That’s all – as you can see, no expensive products and complicated manipulations.
