Ingredients
- 650 g cake (yeast plait), with raisins
- 250 g whipped cream
- 500 g quark
- 2 small egg (s)
- 1 pinch (s) salt
- 2 tablespoon honey
- 2 apples
- 1 packet vanilla sugar

- Preheat the stove to 200 degrees.
- Whisk the eggs with the cream. Roughly grate the apples with a grater, even with the skin on. Mix both with the quark, vanilla sugar, salt and honey.
- Cut the yeast plait into finger-thick slices.
- Layer the yeast plaited slices and quark mixture alternately in a baking dish like lasagne. Start with yeast plaits and end with quark.
- Bake in the oven on the middle rack for about 30 minutes at 190 degrees.
- The form does not need to be greased beforehand, as the quark and yeast plait do not stick. The oven hatch is ready when the quark mass has a jelly-like consistency and is golden yellow. This can be checked with a small spoon or knife.
- Tip:
- You can also use cherries instead of apples, or raisins if the yeast plait doesn`t have raisins.
