Unleavened Buns with Sour Cream, Corn, Cheese and Green Onions

Soft buns with sour cream are quick and easy to prepare. For a more interesting taste, type and texture of the buns, canned corn, chopped green onions and pieces of cheese are mixed into the dough. Serve these unsweetened buns with your first course or with a cup of tea or coffee. You can also take them as a snack to school or work.

Ingredients

  • Hard cheese – 100 g
  • Canned corn – 80 g
  • Green onions – 50 g
  • Sour cream 10-15% – 120 g
  • Egg – 1 pc.
  • Sugar – 1 tbsp
  • Vegetable oil – 2 tbsp + for greasing hands
  • Flour – 300 g (about 2 cups with a capacity of 250 ml)
  • Baking powder – 1 teaspoon with a slide
  • Salt – 1 teaspoon

Directions

  1. Prepare your ingredients.
    Pre-fold the corn in a colander or strainer – let the liquid drain and dry the corn slightly.
    Cover the baking sheet with parchment.
    Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.
  2. Cut the hard cheese into small cubes.
    Wash a small bunch of green onions, dry and chop with a knife.
  3. Prepare the dough.
    Combine sour cream, egg, salt, sugar and vegetable oil in a deep bowl.
    Mix everything thoroughly.
  4. Sift flour into another container and add baking powder. Stir.
  5. Add corn, cheese and onions to a bowl of flour. Stir with a spatula or spoon.
  6. Pour in the mixture of liquid ingredients.
  7. Knead the dough with quick strokes. Do not knead it for a long time. As soon as all the flour is moistened, the dough is ready.
  8. Lightly grease your hands with vegetable oil and form small buns from the dough. Shape them the same size so they bake evenly.
    Place the buns on a baking sheet with parchment.
  9. Bake yeast-free buns with sour cream, corn, green onions and cheese in an oven preheated to 180 ° C for about 25-30 minutes, until golden brown.
  10. Let the buns cool slightly before serving.
