Ingredients
- 190 g suar
- 2 large egg (s)
- 125 ml oil, (sunflower oil)
- 1 ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- 200 g applesauce, (unsweetened)
- 155 g wheat flour
- 60 g wheat flour (whole rain)
- 0.25 teaspoon ¼ baking powder
- 0.5 teaspoon ½ baking soda
- 1 ½ teaspoon cinnamon, ground
- 0.5 teaspoon ½ allspice
- 1 pinch (s) nutmeg, ground
- 50 g oat flakes, crunchy
- 60 g walnuts, chopped

- Preheat the oven to 180 degrees, grease a 23 × 12 cm loaf pan and dust it lightly with flour. Mix the sugar with the eggs until creamy, then stir in the oil, vanilla extract and applesauce.
- Mix the two types of flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, allspice and nutmeg, add and stir in. Finally stir in the oat flakes and chopped walnuts.
- Pour the dough into the prepared dish, smooth it out and bake in the oven for 55-60 minutes. It is best to do a chopstick test in the middle. Take out, let cool down a little and then turn out of the tin onto a wire rack.
- Let it cool down completely before cutting, if you want, you can dust it lightly with powdered sugar.
- This is a fine cake for breakfast.
