  • 300 g butter or mararine
  • 300 g suar
  • 1 vanilla sugar
  • 6 egg (s)
  • 1 bottle rum flavor or rum (54%)
  • 300 grams flour
  • 75 g cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • possibly chocolate flakes, crumble

Instructions

  1. Beat butter or margarine until very frothy. Let the sugar trickle in and stir well. Add the vanilla sugar and keep stirring until the sugar has combined with the margarine. Gradually add the eggs and stir in until a creamy mixture has formed. Now pour in the rum aroma or a shot of rum and stir. Sift the flour with the cornstarch and the baking powder into the mixture (possibly in 2-3 portions) and stir well.
  2. If you want, you can stir in chocolate flakes or chocolate sprinkles. Another variant consists of 2/3 white dough and 1/3 dark dough (mixed with cocoa) as a marble cake.
  3. Bake at 160 ° C fan oven or 175 ° C top and bottom heat for about 60-80 minutes. Make a chopstick test.
