  • 1 medium kohlrabi
  • 5 slices smoked meat
  • 5 slices Edam cheese
  • 2 egg (s)
  • some flour
  • some breadcrumbs
  • salt and pepper
  • Seasoning salt
  • some fat for frying

Altbaerlis Kohlrabi-Cordon Bleu with Smoked Meat and Cheese

Instructions

  1. Peel the kohlrabi and cut into approx. 5 millimeter thick slices. Blanch them in salted water and pat dry.
  2. Cover some kohlrabi slices with smoked meat and cheese and cover each with a second kohlrabi slice. Arrange the flour, eggs and breadcrumbs in three plates. Beat the eggs with the spices. Turn the kohlrabi parcels first in the flour, then in the eggs and bread with the breadcrumbs. Bake the kohlrabi cordon bleus in a little fat until golden yellow.
