- 50 grams sugar
- 500 g low-fat quark
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 150 grams flour
- 1 packet vanilla custard powder
- 1 apple, peeled and grated
- Lemon juice
- Rum flavor
- Clarified butter

- Beat the eggs with the sugar until frothy. Fold in the quark, lemon juice, rum flavor, flour and custard powder. Finally the grated apple.
- Heat the fat in a pan (approx. Setting 7 of 9) and use a tablespoon to add large heaps of the quark mixture to the pan, flattening it a little if necessary.
- Bake golden brown on both sides. For me that usually results in around 8 pieces.
- If necessary, the plinths can be kept warm in the oven at approx. 80 - 100 degrees.
- Apple compote and cinnamon taste great with it. Sometimes we just eat it with jam.
