Boiled Brussels Sprouts – Basic Recipe

Brussels sprouts, water, and salt are all the ingredients used in Alton Brown’s recipe. This is the classic cooking option when you are guaranteed to get an excellent result in 10 minutes.

Ingredients
- 450 gr. washed brussels sprouts
- 1/2 tablespoon. water
- 1/4 teaspoon coarse salt
Directions
- Trim the base of the Brussels sprouts and remove the outer yellowish leaves. Cut each in half from top to bottom.
- Place the cabbage, water, and salt in a 3 to 4-liter saucepan and cover. Place on high heat and cook for 5 minutes. or until soft. Remove from heat and serve immediately.
