Chicken Fillet Chops in Onion-Mustard Batter

Delicious chicken chops in an onion and mustard batter are a great idea for lunch or dinner. The batter of mustard, onions, mayonnaise and sour cream not only gives the chops an original taste, but also keeps the meat juicy and very tender. Simple, fast and delicious! Try it!

Ingredients

  • Chicken fillet – 800 g
  • Eggs – 4 pcs.
  • Onions – 180 g
  • Sour cream – 60 g
  • Mayonnaise – 60 g
  • Flour – 40 g
  • Mustard – 1 teaspoon
  • Salt to taste
  • Ground black pepper – to taste
  • Vegetable oil (for frying) – 2 tbsp

  • Lettuce to taste

Directions

  1. Prepare the food you need.
  2. Cut the chicken fillet in half. Then cut each half of the fillet lengthwise into 2-3 pieces. Beat each fillet lightly and season with salt and pepper on both sides.
  3. Peel the onions and cut into large pieces. Place the onions in a blender bowl.
  4. Grind until smooth, 1-2 minutes. (Onions can be chopped with a medium grater.)
  5. Prepare the batter. To do this, combine eggs, mayonnaise, sour cream, mustard, chopped onion, salt and ground black pepper in a bowl. Mix well.
  6. Add flour and stir the mixture well again so that there are no lumps left. The batter should be like thick sour cream in consistency.
  7. Dip each chicken fillet chop on both sides of the batter. Let the excess batter drain into a bowl. If the mixture is not thick enough and the batter layer is too thin, add a little more flour.
  8. Heat a skillet with vegetable oil over medium heat. Place the batter chops in the skillet.
  9. Fry the chicken chops in the onion-mustard batter for 4-5 minutes on each side, until golden brown.
  10. Chicken fillet chops in batter with onions and mustard are ready. Garnish with the salad chops if desired and serve.
