  • Couscous – 150 Grams
  • Mushrooms – 150 Grams
  • Onion – 1 Piece
  • Sweet pepper – 1 Piece
  • Vegetable oil – 1-2 tbsp
  • Salt – 1 Pinch

Directions

  1. Here is a small and very affordable set of ingredients needed to replicate this simple couscous with the mushroom recipe in your kitchen.
  2. Put the couscous into a saucepan and cover with boiling water. Let it simmer over medium heat for just a couple of minutes, and then remove from heat and leave under the lid.
  3. Pour some vegetable oil into a skillet and heat it over medium heat. Peel the onion and cut into small cubes. Send to the pan and fry for 2-3 minutes. During this time, peel and grind the pepper. Add to the onions and continue to sauté, stirring occasionally.
  4. Wash, dry and chop the mushrooms. In the meantime, you can also add salt to taste and some vegetable oil to the couscous.
  5. Add mushrooms to the pan and fry until tender. That’s all, couscous with mushrooms at home is ready. It remains only to combine cereals with vegetables in a pan, mix everything carefully and you can serve to the table, decorating with fresh herbs if desired.
