Ingredients

  • 2 packs dry yeast or 1 cube fresh yeast
  • 500 g wheat flour or spelled flour
  • 250 ml water, lukewarm
  • 0.5 ½ cup oil, about 75 ml
  • 1 tablespoon salt, approx.
  • 1 tablespoon cane sugar or honey, approx.
  • possibly cheese, grated

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, add the yeast to 250 ml of lukewarm water and stir in approx. 1 tablespoon of sugar or honey. What is important is not necessarily the amount of sugar and salt that you add, but that the amounts of these two ingredients used are in balance, so please always use the same amount of sugar and salt!
  2. When the yeast has completely dissolved and perhaps a small head of foam has already formed, mix the dry ingredients with the yeast liquid and the oil, add about 1 tablespoon of salt and knead everything well. Let the dough rise in a warm place for about 30 minutes, then knead again and then roll out to any thickness. Leave the edge a little thicker.
  3. Tip for further processing:
  4. Place the pizza base on a greased tray or a sheet lined with baking paper and cover to your heart`s content. Bake the pizza at 200 degrees top / bottom heat or 175 degrees convection for about 15-20 minutes.
  5. Extra tip for cheese fans:
  6. Roll out the dough thinly around the edge, distribute the cheese grater on it and then fold the edge over the rasp and press it down, then you get a delicious, cheese-filled edge of the dough, which you can use for example. B. tastes great with Pizza Hawaii!
