Fish Baked in a Creamy Sauce with Mustard, Lemon Juice and Garlic

Fish baked in a creamy mustard sauce with lemon juice and garlic will pleasantly surprise you. Any white fish can be baked in a sauce of cream, mustard, and lemon juice. The sauce will give the fish an original taste, juiciness, and interesting spicy notes.

Servings: 4

Ingredients

  • Fillet of white fish – 800 g
  • Butter – 50 g
  • Cream (20% fat) – 60 ml
  • Garlic – 1 clove
  • Mustard – 1 tbsp
  • Lemon juice – 1.5 tbsp
  • Salt – 0.5 teaspoon
  • Ground pepper (mixture of peppers) – 0.1 teaspoon
  • Fresh dill – 2-3 branches

Directions

  1. Finely chop the garlic or grate it on a fine grater. For the sauce, combine lemon juice, butter, cream, mustard, and minced garlic in a deep bowl.
  2. Heat in the microwave on low power until the butter is melted (or in a water bath). Stir everything into a homogeneous sauce, add salt (0.2 teaspoons) and pepper mixture.
  3. Place the fish fillets in a baking dish. You do not need to grease the mold if it is non-stick. You can also leave the skin on the fish. Season the fillets with salt and pepper on both sides.
  4. Pour the cooked sauce over the fish and send it to the hot oven to bake at 200 degrees for 12-15 minutes.
  5. If your fish pieces are thicker than 1.5 cm, increase the baking time by 5 minutes.
  6. The fish is best served with mashed potatoes and fresh lettuce. Season the salad leaves with lemon juice, olive oil and add fresh dill, a few olives, and capers.
  7. The fish baked in a creamy lemon sauce is ready. Serve with mashed potatoes and salad.
  8. Delicate fish fillet, melting in the mouth, with a light lemon-mustard tint and the creamy consistency of a creamy sauce – it’s very tasty!
