Ingredients

  • 100 g butter
  • 100 g cheese (Appenzeller), rated
  • 100 g cream cheese
  • 2 tablespoons spinach, cooked, mashed, squeezed well
  • 1 tablespoon parsley, finely chopped
  • 60 g pistachios, rouhly chopped
  • Pepper from the grinder
  • salt

Instructions

  1. Beat the butter until foamy.
  2. Mix the Appenzeller, cream cheese and the spinach with the butter.
  3. Season with salt and pepper, shape into a ball and roll in the chopped pistachios.
  4. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving.
  5. Tip / variants:
  6. For the light version, choose accordingly reduced-fat ingredients (for butter, cheese).
  7. Serve with different types of bread, pretzels, crackers or similar.
  8. Suitable for: party, barbecue, picnic, brunch
