Mashed Potatoes with Garlic and Nutmeg

Everyone’s favorite mashed potatoes, I suggest cooking with garlic and nutmeg.
Ingredients
- Potatoes – 900 g
- Garlic – 7-8 cloves
- Milk – 3/4 cup
- Butter – 4-6 tbsp
- Ground nutmeg – 1 pinch
- Salt to taste
- Ground black pepper – to taste
- Fresh parsley (finely chopped), for serving – 1 tbsp
Directions
- Peel the potatoes, cut into pieces, and put in a large saucepan. Cover with water, add salt. Bring the potatoes to a boil over high heat and cook for about 10 minutes.
- Then add the peeled and chopped garlic to the potatoes. Cook for about 10 more minutes, until the potatoes are tender.
- Throw the boiled potatoes together with the garlic in a colander, drain the water, reserve 3 tbsp of liquid.
- Pour milk and the remaining 3 tablespoons of “potato” water into the pot in which the potatoes were boiled. Boil.
- Remove the pan from the stove, put the potatoes and garlic in it. Knead the whole mass until puree.
- Add nutmeg to the puree, season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Beat mashed potatoes and garlic with a wooden spoon until fluffy.
- Serve mashed potatoes in portioned bowls, with butter and chopped parsley.
