Pea Porridge with Green Onions and Vegetable Oil

Hearty and healthy pea porridge, a recipe with green onions, and vegetable oil. Pea porridge with onions is suitable for vegetarian meals and for fasting days.

Ingredients

  • Dried peas – 300 g
  • Vegetable oil – 2 tbsp
  • Green onions – 4 pcs. (taste)
  • Salt – 0.5 teaspoon (to taste)

How to cook pea porridge with onions:

Directions

  1. Rinse the peas, soak for 4 hours in cold water.
  2. Put on fire, bring to a boil.
  3. Cook over low heat until tender, adding water as needed (about an hour). At the end of cooking, add salt to taste.
  4. Wash green onions, chop finely
  5. Add green onions to the finished porridge.
  6. Season the pea porridge with onion with vegetable oil and mix.
  7. Pea porridge with green onions and vegetable oil is ready.
