Porilainen (Finnish Sausage Sandwich)

An incredibly easy to prepare Finnish closed sandwich (sandwich) with boiled sausage, pickled cucumber, and onions. Hearty and tasty.
Cook: 15 minutes
Ingredients
- White bread – 2 pieces
- Boiled sausage – 1 large circle
- White onions – 0.5 pcs.
- Pickled cucumber – 1 pc.
- Ketchup – 1 tbsp
- Sweet mustard – 1 teaspoon
- Ground black pepper – to taste
Directions
- Cut the onion and pickled cucumber into small cubes, mix. While you fry the bread and sausage, the onion will be lightly marinated.
- In a grill pan, fry the white bread slices until crispy on both sides.
- Sear a large circle of cooked sausage.
- Brush one slice of bread with your favorite tasty ketchup. Brush the second slice of bread with sweet mustard.
- Place the onion and cucumber on the ketchup slice.
- Put the sausage on top of the vegetables, pepper a little.
- Place another layer of chopped vegetables on top of the sausage.
- Top with a second slice of bread over the sandwich.
- If the sandwich is too high, hold it together with a toothpick or bamboo skewer. Serve the Finnish porylainen sandwich hot. As you can see, everything is very simple. This hot sandwich is great for breakfast as it cooks very quickly.
