Ingredients

  • 2 steak (s) (beef fillet), approx. 00 g each
  • 1 pack king prawns, frozen
  • 2 tomato (s)
  • 500 g beans (bush)
  • 2 onions)
  • 350 g potato (s)
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 packet herbs, frozen
  • 1 packet chives, frozen
  • Pepper (steak), black, coarse
  • milk
  • cream
  • salt
  • Oil, neutral, for frying

Instructions

  1. Pepper the steaks at room temperature and oil them well on both sides, leave to lie.
  2. Peel the potatoes, cut into small pieces and cook in salted water. In the meantime, pour boiling water over the tomatoes and peel them, cut into small pieces. Prepare the beans, cut off any excess and blanch them in boiling salted water for a good 4 minutes, then put them in a sieve to drain. Dice the onions and fry them in a saucepan with half of the finely chopped garlic. Then add the tomatoes and beans, simmer on a low heat.
  3. Cook the prawns with the other half of the finely chopped garlic in a pan over a low heat. Sear the steaks for a good 4 minutes on each side (highest flame) - do not add any more fat to the pan. Then leave it covered in the pan, but remove it from the heat.
  4. Process the cooked potatoes into a creamy pulp, you need the milk and a dash of the cream, season with salt and pepper.
  5. To serve, pile a small mountain of mashed potatoes in the center of a plate and place a steak on top. Place the beans around the outside and spread the prawns on the steaks (see photo).
  6. A good beer or a good red wine goes well with this.
