  • 6 m.-jacket potato (s)
  • 1 large onion (s)
  • 5 tablespoons oil, or more
  • 1 teaspoon caraway seeds, whole
  • salt

Roros Fine Fried Potatoes with Onions and Caraway Seeds

Instructions

  1. Peel the jacket potatoes and cut into thin slices. Peel the onions and cut into small pieces.
  2. Heat the oil in a large pan and sweat the onions in it over medium heat until translucent. Then turn up the heat and add the potato slices. The more spread out the potato slices - if possible next to each other and not on top of each other - the crisper the fried potatoes will be. Add oil if necessary. Scatter caraway seeds on top and fry them. Do not turn the potatoes gently too often.
  3. Fry until golden brown and crispy over a good heat - but be careful not to burn them, turn the heat back down in good time. Only add salt before serving.
