Turkish Delight with Cinnamon, at Home

How to cook Turkish delight at home? Everything is very easy and simple !!!

Ingredients

  • Sugar – 1 glass
  • Cornstarch – 1 cup
  • Gelatin – 15 g
  • Vanilla sugar – 10 g
  • Water – 1.5 cups
  • Cinnamon – 0.5 teaspoon
  • Citric acid – 0.5 teaspoon
  • Nuts – optional

Directions

  1. We mix sugar, corn starch, gelatin, vanilla sugar, water, cinnamon.
  2. We take a saucepan with a thick bottom so that the mass does not burn. Pour the mass there. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly. Approximately 20 minutes.
  3. Cook, stirring continuously until thickened.
    You should get such consistency.
  4. Add citric acid and reduce heat to very low. We continue to knead well.
  5. This consistency should be caramel. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  6. You can add nuts to our treat.
  7. We spread the mass in a container and tamp it tightly with a spatula. Let cool in a cool place for about 6 hours (preferably not in the refrigerator).
  8. After complete cooling, remove, cut into pieces of the desired shape.
    Dip first in starch, and then in powdered sugar.
  9. So that Turkish delight is not soaking, I advise you to sprinkle the cubes with coconut at once.
