Almond Sesame Cookies

Very simple and easy to prepare Italian biscuits. Cookies are obtained with a slight hint of vanilla and spices, it is the martini that gives such a great aroma. These cookies are very popular in Italy.

Ingredients

  • Wheat flour / Flour
  • Sesame – 50 g
  • Olive oil – 0.5 stack.
  • Almonds – 100 g
  • Brown sugar – 100 g
  • Martini – 150 ml
  • Yeast (fast-acting) – 1 teaspoon
  • Milk chocolate / Chocolate (for decoration)

Directions

  1. First, you need to peel the almonds from the husks, for this we boil water in a saucepan and add the nuts. The nuts should boil in water for a few minutes and then allow to cool. Do not drain the water from under the nuts (it will turn dark brown), the peeled nuts must be put back into the water, so that the nuts are colored, for about 15 minutes.
  2. Now load the almonds into the blender. If the almonds are not very colored, you can add cocoa, knockdown until fine crumbs.
  3. Let’s make the dough. Put all the ingredients in a bowl: sesame seeds, ground almonds, olive oil, sugar, yeast, flour.
  4. Pour martini in a thin stream. Knead the dough with your hands.
  5. Add flour until the dough becomes elastic and does not stick to your hands. Cover the dough with plastic wrap and leave to rise for 30 minutes.
  6. After the dough has come, roll it out and cut out different shapes of cookies. Tip: if you like crunchy cookies, like a cracker, roll out the dough thinner, but if you like tender and soft cookies, then the thickness of the dough should be at least 1 cm. For those with a sweet tooth, I advise you to put a slice of chocolate inside the cookie. Put the cookies on parchment and bake in the oven at 180 degrees for 10 minutes.
  7. Remove the biscuits from the oven as soon as they turn slightly brown. Sprinkle lightly with powdered sugar, and I garnished the cookies with melted chocolate. The cookies are not sugary sweet, but very tasty, tender and so aromatic – very unusual.
