Apple Layered Buns in a Frying Pan

In this bun recipe, we’ll use apple juice to knead the yeast dough. And for a layering, apply applesauce on the dough! An interesting and delicious recipe for air puffs in a pan! Try it, you will like it!

Ingredients

For the test:

  • Wheat flour – 250 g + for dusting
  • Pressed yeast – 5 g
  • or dry yeast – 0.5 teaspoon
  • Apple juice – 160 ml
  • Vegetable oil – 3 tbsp
  • For the shaving brush:
  • Wheat flour – 70 g
  • Vegetable oil (hot) – 50 ml
  • Apples – 2-3 pcs.
  • Salt – 1 pinch
  • Sugar to taste

For frying:

  • Vegetable oil

Directions

  1. We prepare all the ingredients for the dough
  2. We activate the yeast. To do this, make a depression in a bowl of flour and add crushed (or dry) yeast there.
  3. Pour apple juice into flour. Stir and let stand for a couple of minutes.
  4. Knead the dough for a few minutes. It should be very soft.
  5. Place the dough in a bowl. We do not interfere with the vegetable oil, but only pour it on top of the dough and spread it. Cover the dough with a lid or foil and leave it in a warm place for proofing for 30-40 minutes.
  6. While the dough is coming up, prepare a shaving brush.
  7. First of all, we bake the apples.
  8. Pour a pinch of salt into the flour and mix. Heat vegetable oil and add to a bowl of flour. Mix well.
  9. Peel the apples (baked). Turn the apple pulp into mashed potatoes (it is perfectly kneaded with a fork).
  10. Add the puree to the butter and flour mixture. We mix. The shaving brush is ready. Add a little sugar if needed. Be guided by your taste.
  11. We return to the test. Grease the table with the rest of the oil. Roll out the dough into a rectangular layer. Apply a shaving brush on top with a thin layer.
  12. We wrap the dough in a roll.
  13. We divide the workpiece (roll) into 8-12 equal parts.
  14. We pinch the edges of each part of the dough.
  15. We wrap the edges down and form koloboks. Let the buns of dough stand under the film for a while (10 minutes).
  16. Then we roll each bun into a small cake (carefully, you can use vegetable oil or a little flour).
  17. Fold the cake in half and again in half to make a triangle.
  18. Let the blanks-triangles stand under the film on the table for 10 minutes.
  19. Fry apple buns in a frying pan in a little oil over low heat. As we turn it over, cover it with a lid.
  20. Let the finished layered buns cool well (this is very important!).
  21. Soft, flavorful and very flaky apple buns, we love them!
