Caramelized Pumpkin

You don’t have to use expensive ingredients to make a healthy dessert – just make caramelized pumpkin. The dish will turn out to be not only tasty, but also healthy and juicy.

Servings: 1-2

Ingredients

  • Pumpkin – 400 Grams
  • Sugar – 200 Grams
  • Water – 100 Milliliters
  • Lemon Juice – 1 Teaspoon

Directions

  1. Prepare the indicated ingredients.
  2. Pour granulated sugar into a cauldron or a ladle with a non-stick bottom, pour in lemon juice.Be sure to add juice – it levels the sweetness of sugar and helps it not to crystallize again. Place the container on the stove and bring the syrup to a boil, then reduce the heat.
  3. Cut the pumpkin into pieces, remove the seeds and rinse, then cut off all the skin from the pulp and cut the pulp itself into cubes or medium-sized cubes.
  4. Place the pumpkin slices in the boiling syrup and simmer for about 15-20 minutes until tender over moderate heat.
  5. When the pumpkin pieces become soft, but keep their shape, turn off the heat.
  6. Using a slotted spoon, place the caramalized pumpkin on a plate, straining the syrup. Serve with sour cream of any fat content. The combination of warm pumpkin and chilled sour cream tastes incredible!
