Champignons in Tomato Sauce, Baked in the Oven

According to this recipe, mushrooms are first marinated in tomato sauce with garlic and lemon juice, and then baked whole in the oven. The baked mushrooms are soaked in marinade and are juicy, aromatic and very tasty.

Ingredients

  • Champignon mushrooms – 800 g
  • Tomato sauce – 300 g
  • Mayonnaise – 150 g
  • Garlic – 5 cloves
  • Lemon juice – 4 tbsp
  • Vegetable oil – 30 g
  • Salt to taste
  • Ground black pepper – to taste

Directions

  1. We prepare the necessary products. It is better to choose champignons of a small size so that they are better marinated.
  2. Squeeze juice from lemon. It will take 4 tablespoon. tablespoons of lemon juice.
  3. Peel and cut the garlic into slices.
  4. Wash the mushrooms, dry them a little and put them in a bowl or saucepan. Add tomato sauce, mayonnaise, lemon juice, black pepper, garlic and salt to the mushrooms to taste (I added 1 teaspoon of salt).
  5. Gently mix everything and refrigerate for at least 2 hours. If you can, it is best to leave the mushrooms to marinate overnight.
  6. Cover the baking sheet with foil, grease it with vegetable oil and put the mushrooms with their caps up in one layer.
  7. We bake the mushrooms in the oven at 180 degrees for about 40 minutes.
  8. Baked champignons in tomato sauce are ready. Mushrooms go well with various meat dishes and side dishes. Enjoy your meal!
