Delicious Herring with Onions

Delicate fillet of lightly salted herring in combination with onions – an extraordinary taste. Delicious herring with onions will brighten any holiday.

Ingredients

  • Salted herring – 1 pc.
  • Bulb onions – 1-2 pcs.
  • Sugar (optional) – 0.5 teaspoon.
  • Vinegar 6% – 1.5 tbsp
  • Sunflower oil – 3 tbsp

Directions

  1. Prepare food.
  2. Cut the herring with a sharp knife along the back from head to tail.
  3. Peel the skin of the herring, starting from the head.
  4. Clean the guts from the fish. My herring turned out to be with caviar. It will come in handy too.
  5. Cut off the head and fins from the herring.
  6. Cut the fish into two halves.
  7. Carefully separate the fillets from the bones.
  8. Cut herring fillets into slices.
  9. Peel the onion and cut it into half rings. Sprinkle it with vinegar. Can be sprinkled with sugar and vinegar.
    Lightly mash the onion with your hands and leave for 5 minutes.
  10. Put pieces of herring (and caviar) in a herring maker, put the onion on top. Drizzle herring and onion with vegetable oil and serve.
