Oven-Free Curd Donuts

I propose to cook very airy, fluffy, and incredibly mouth-watering donuts that are baked in the oven. For this wonderful baking, yeast-free curd dough is kneaded with the addition of sour cream and vegetable oil.

Ingredients

  • Cottage cheese – 250 g
  • Sour cream – 30 g
  • Vegetable oil – 1 tbsp
  • Egg – 1 pc.
  • Sugar – 60 g
  • Baking powder – 1 teaspoon
  • Flour – 200 g (1.5 cups with a capacity of 200 ml)
  • Vanillin – 2 g
  • Salt – 1 pinch
  • Powdered sugar – 1 teaspoon

Directions

  1. In a bowl, combine the egg, sugar, vanillin, salt, and vegetable oil. Mix with a whisk until smooth.
  2. Add sour cream to these ingredients. Mix again.
  3. Add cottage cheese.
  4. Stir until smooth.
  5. Sift flour and baking powder into the resulting curd mass in parts.
  6. Knead a soft, slightly sticky dough.
  7. Let’s form a sausage from the dough, which we divide into 12 approximately equal parts. Turn on the oven to heat up to 180 degrees.
  8. Roll each part of the dough into a ball.
  9. Let’s form donuts: each ball of dough is slightly flattened and pierced through with a round cutting with a diameter of about 1-1.5 cm. Cover the baking tray with parchment or foil. Put all the donuts on a baking sheet.
  10. We will bake curd donuts in the oven for 25 minutes. Sprinkle the finished donuts with powdered sugar.
