Sandwiches “Sausages in Openwork” on the Festive Table

“Sausages in openwork” are beautiful, hearty and tasty sandwiches that can take one of the main places on the festive table.

Ingredients

  • Borodinsky bread with caraway seeds – 250 g (small loaf)
  • Sausages in natural casing – 2 pcs.
  • Potatoes (large) – 1 pc.
  • Korean carrots – 50 g
  • Milk – 1/2 cup
  • Butter – 1/2 teaspoon
  • Suluguni cheese – 30 g
  • Green onions – 1-2 pcs.
  • Hot chili pepper (thin slices from a pod) – 6 pieces
  • Vegetable oil – for frying sausages
  • Lemon – 1/3 pc.
  • Salt to taste

Directions

  1. The first thing to do is cut the bread and sausages. For 6 servings, you should get 6 horizontal slices from a loaf and 6 thick circles of sausages.
  2. Then finely chop the onion. Peel potatoes and cut into large pieces. Put the potatoes to cook. Sprinkle the onion with lemon juice
  3. Fry the sausages in vegetable oil on both sides. Cut off the chili pepper thinly (6 slices). Grate (fine) cheese.
  4. First place the grated cheese and onions on the bread slices.
  5. Boiled potatoes in mashed potatoes with salt, butter and milk.
  6. Now you need to completely collect the sandwiches: put neatly prepared warm puree on the cheese with onions. Put a beautiful openwork mesh of Korean carrots over the potatoes. Place a slice of sausages on top – one for each slice of bread. Secure the “construction” with a skewer. And garnish with hot peppercorns.
