Ingredients

  • 4 pork schnitzel, 60 g each
  • 4 rolls (hamburger buns)
  • 8 lettuce leaves (romaine lettuce)
  • 2 tomato (s)
  • 2 pickled cucumber (s)
  • 1 egg (s)
  • Breadcrumbs for breading
  • 2 onions)
  • 100 g mayonnaise (delicacy mayonnaise)
  • 1 teaspoon mustard
  • 4 tablespoon oil
  • some lemon juice
  • salt and pepper
  • sugar
  • Paprika powder, noble sweet
  • 4 tablespoon tomato ketchup

Instructions

  1. Cut the hamburger bun crosswise once. Peel the onions and cut into slices.
  2. Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a pan and fry the onion slices until golden. Then lift the onions out of the pan and set aside.
  3. Mix the mayonnaise with lemon juice, mustard, salt, pepper and a little sugar into a sauce, also set aside.
  4. Cut the pickles lengthways into slices. Wash tomatoes, also cut into slices.
  5. Wash the lettuce leaves and shake dry.
  6. Beat the egg on a flat plate and fold it vigorously with a fork. Season the breadcrumbs with salt, pepper and paprika and place on a second plate. Wash the schnitzel, pat dry, pat, first turn in the egg and then in the seasoned breadcrumbs. Pour the remaining oil into the pan, heat it up and fry the schnitzel on both sides until crispy brown.
  7. Brush the lower halves of the bread roll with the mayo sauce, place two lettuce leaves on each, then the schnitzel, the tomato and cucumber slices and finally the fried onions. Place a spoonful of mayo sauce and ketchup on top and cover with the upper halves of the rolls. It may be advisable to pin these in place with wooden sticks so that the burgers don`t slide apart.
