Ingredients

  • 250 g flour
  • 0.5 ½ pack baking powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon ¼ salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon ½ sugar
  • 6 tablespoon milk
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 125 g sheep cheese
  • 1 egg yolk
  • Herbs for sprinkling

Instructions

  1. Mix the flour with baking powder, salt and sugar. Knead the milk, a tablespoon of oil and the crumbled sheep cheese under it until a smooth dough is formed.
  2. Roll out the dough on a lightly floured work surface about ½ cm thick and cut out small thalers with a small glass.
  3. Place the sheep`s cheese thalers on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Brush with beaten egg yolk and sprinkle with herbs if you like. Preheat the oven to 190 ° and bake the thalers for 15-17 minutes on the middle rack until golden brown.
  4. Sheep`s cheese thalers taste good warm or cold with a glass of wine. If you like, you can also add a dip.
