Ingredients

  • 3 cups basmati rice or jasmine rice
  • 6 clove (s) garlic, chopped
  • 0.5 teaspoon ½ salt
  • Vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Boil the rice and let it cool. I use a rice cooker, the cups of the rice cooker hold about 150 ml. Ideally, you use the rice that was left over from the day before.
  2. Heat the oil in the pan and add the finely chopped garlic. Fry the garlic for a few minutes, being careful not to burn the garlic. As soon as the garlic is lightly brown, add the rice, salt and fry for a few minutes until the rice has the desired consistency.
  3. Tip: Many people also press the garlic so that there are no pieces in it or do it like my mother, she just crushes the garlic as a whole clove and fries it and then takes it out again later as a whole.
