Sponge Moss for Decoration, in the Microwave

by Editorial Staff

An interesting decorative element is molecular biscuit moss. It can be used to decorate not only cakes and pastries but also other festive dishes, such as salads and snacks. Preparing quickly and easily. The only required element is a microwave oven. You can’t do without her. The whole molecular trick lies precisely in high-frequency radiation.

Ingredients

  • Wheat flour – 25 g (1 tablespoon. L.)
  • Sugar – 13 g (1/2 tablespoon)
  • Egg – 1 pc.
  • Baking powder for dough – 5 g (1 teaspoon)
  • Glucose syrup (or invert syrup, or honey) – 30 g
  • Food coloring

Directions

  1. Prepare foods for molecular biscuit moss in the microwave.
  2. You can cook biscuit moss in paper or plastic cups, glass, and porcelain dishes.
  3. Mix the sifted flour with baking powder.
  4. Stir the egg and sugar, add invert or glucose syrup, or honey. Whisk everything together well until white foam.
If you are making moss of the same color, you can use the dye now.
  5. Add eggs and flour with baking powder, stir from top to bottom.
  6. When the dough is ready, you can make several portions of different colors.
I make moss in two colors using gel dye.
  7. Fill the dishes with dough about a third.
Close with a lid or cling film and send to the microwave.
  8. Power – 700 watts, approximate time – 1 minute.
Do not put more on, otherwise, the moss may burn.
  9. If there is not enough time, you can then add 10-20 seconds.
Turn the finished SpongeBob sponge cake, wait until it cools completely and after that, you can remove it from the mold by cutting along the edges with a knife.
  10. If the moss at the bottom is tough, you need less oven.

Enjoy your meal!
