I want to share with you a very original recipe for a waffle sandwich. This is a sandwich made from two savory waffles and a juicy tofu and vegetable filling. The dish turns out to be very satisfying and tasty.

Ingredients

  • Flour – 150 Grams
  • Soy milk – 150-165 grams
  • Baking powder – 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Salt – 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Vegetable oil – 1
  • Apple cider vinegar – 1/2 Art. spoons
  • Avocado – 1 Piece
  • Tomatoes – 1 Piece
  • Cheese – 25 Grams
  • Tofu – 45 Grams
  • Italian Herbs – To taste
  • Black Pepper – To taste
  • Lettuce leaf – 1 Piece
  • Soy sauce – 1-2 tbsp

Directions

  1. Prepare all ingredients.
  2. Combine flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
  3. Add apple cider vinegar and vegetable oil to a glass of soy milk, stir. Pour this mixture into a bowl of flour, stir well.
  4. Heat the waffle iron, brush with butter and add 3-4 tablespoon. dough for each half. Bake the waffle for about 7-9 minutes.
  5. Cut the tofu into slices. Dip in soy sauce, then sprinkle with Italian herbs and black pepper. Fry the tofu over medium heat until golden brown.
  6. Cut the tomatoes into slices, grate the cheese, crush the avocado with a fork and puree.
  7. Place the lettuce on one waffle.
  8. Top with mashed avocado and tofu.
  9. Then tomato slices and cheese.
  10. Brush the second waffle with the avocado puree and cover the sandwich with it.
