Ingredients
- 2 packs salted herring (matjes or bisque herring fillets)
- 1 large onion (s)
- 1 apple, sweet and sour
- 1 small Jar pickled cucumber
- 200 ml sweet cream
- pepper
- possibly salt

- Dab herring fillets with kitchen paper, cut into small pieces and place in a bowl. Peel the onions, chop them into small cubes and add. Grate the pickles and the apple on a coarse grater into the bowl. Add the cream and season with pepper and possibly salt. Mix everything thoroughly and let it steep.
- It tastes best with boiled potatoes.
