Almond Cookies “As a Gift”

As Ninochka would say, Barska is a “mullion” cookie recipe on the site. Actually, I dedicate this recipe to her and her Nastya. I checked in good faith on the search engine – I did not find this. But even if you catch me in a repetition – do not throw your slippers. On the eve of Christmas and New Years’, many will come in handy with such a gift cookie. It can be presented or hung on a Christmas tree. The recipe is simple, your kids will love helping make it with you. And, of course, almond-citrus pastries are always very tasty and aromatic.

Cook: 30 minutes

Ingredients

  • Brown sugar (universal from “Mistral”) – 100 g
  • Wheat flour / Flour – 80 g
  • Almonds (almond flour) – 80 g
  • Starch – 20 g
  • Butter – 90 g
  • Orange (juice and zest) – 1/2 pc
  • Salt – 1/4 teaspoon.
  • Vanillin – 1/2 teaspoon
  • Cinnamon – 1 teaspoon

Directions

  1. Take the butter, slightly melt it in the microwave, add salt, brown universal sugar from “Mistral”, beat with a mixer until creamy. 2 tablespoon. we leave tablespoons of sugar.
  2. Add the zest and juice of half an orange, vanillin, mix.
  3. In a separate container, mix sifted wheat flour, almond flour and starch, mix. If you don’t have almond flour, use a blender to grind the almonds into flour.
  4. Add the dry mixture to the butter mixture and knead the dough.
  5. You should have a soft, elastic dough.
  6. From the dough, we make a “sausage” with a diameter of about 5 cm. On the surface of the table (culinary rug), pour brown universal sugar from “Mistral” (2 tablespoons), add cinnamon if desired. Dip the sausage in sugar with cinnamon, squeeze the sugar a little. We put it in plastic wrap and send it to the refrigerator for 1 hour.
  7. We cut the “sausage” into circles about 8 mm thick.
  8. With the help of a recess or a cap from the handle, we make holes in the center of the circles.
    Place the cookie blanks on a baking sheet lined with cooking paper. We put it in an oven heated to 180-200 degrees. We bake for 10-15 minutes depending on your oven and the degree of roast.
