Bean Cutlet Burgers

This burger will appeal to people who do not eat meat, as well as those who are looking after their health. The Burger cutlet is made from beans.

Ingredients

  • Dried bread crumbs – 1/4 cup
  • Ground cumin – 1/4 teaspoon
  • Ground coriander – 1/4 teaspoon
  • Dark beans, canned (drained) – 850 g
  • Low-fat mayonnaise – 1/4 cup
  • Salt
  • Ground black pepper
  • Celery stalk (finely cut) – 2 pcs.
  • Hot chili pepper (finely chopped) – 1 pc.
  • Lettuce leaves – 4 pcs.
  • Burger buns (fried in a toaster) – 4 pcs.
  • Tomato slices – 4 pcs.

How to make bean cutlet burgers:

Directions

  1. Put 2/3 of all the beans in the bowl of the kitchen processor, add all the bread crumbs, cumin, coriander, 1/4 teaspoon of salt, and the same amount of pepper, put 2 tablespoons of mayonnaise. Pulse until smooth, transfer to a large bowl. Add celery and remaining beans and mix well. Form 4 cutlets from this minced meat.
  2. Sprinkle a large skillet with oil and heat over medium heat. Place the cutlets in a preheated pan and fry the bean cutlets for about 10-12 minutes on both sides.
  3. In a small bowl, combine hot peppers and the remaining 2 tablespoons of mayonnaise. On the base of each of the 4 buns, place one lettuce, a cutlet, and a slice of tomato on top. Top sauce. Cover the bean cutlet burgers with the second buns.
